Phil'zHarmoniks is the performing student group of Tinge Studios. We are based in the St. Louis Metro East area out of O'Fallon, Illinois. With our extension group in Centralia we cover most of southern Illinois. Led by Philip Tinge with assistant teachers Gina McIsaac, John Brighton and Marie Menninga, Phil'zHarmoniks is a bowed string instrument group based on the concepts developed by Dr. Shinichi Suzuki.

Phil’zHarmoniks provides a nurturing environment filled with love and care on an individual level. Everyone is important, every part is important, everyone is a part of the family.

The opportunity to play with a group helps the students learn skills such as following a leader and musicality. The music for this group is arranged for all ages and skill levels. Students all get to play together at the same time, so advanced players can polish fundamental skills while beginning levels are given high regard and respect. With all parts being of equal importance, the desire to improve becomes the desire to accomplish personal goals, not “be better than” someone else— which makes everyone strive to be the best that they can be!
